In 1997,TVwasdeveloped out of a vision for the future of higher education that emerged among the governors of the,who collectively saw a new pathway to educational opportunity through technology and competency-basededucation.
Today, TVis the nation’s leading nonprofit online university,currently servesnearly 130,000 enrolled students, andhas nearly 250,000alumnifrom all 50 states.But the journey from concept to large-scale impact was tenuous, as we learned firsthand ata panel discussion during the summit in San Diego.
