Become a ÃÛÌÒTV Alumni Ambassador!
Being a ÃÛÌÒTV Alumni Ambassador is a leadership opportunity for alumni who are dedicated to representing ÃÛÌÒTV. Members share their time and experience by engaging with prospective students, current students, and other alumni.
Here are the available ambassador positions and their job responsibilities
- Social Media & PR - Ambassadors share their ÃÛÌÒTV stories on social media, in coordination with the Social Media team. They volunteer to assist in regional PR efforts as needed.
- Government Relations - Ambassadors work with the ÃÛÌÒTV External Affairs and provide volunteer assistance to government relations initiatives to advance ÃÛÌÒTV’s grant and aid efforts in the states.
- Peer Mentor - Mentorship Ambassadors offer their time and attention to current ÃÛÌÒTV students seeking peer-to-peer mentorship for success in their program. They do this through the official ÃÛÌÒTV LinkedIn group and other official networking groups within the university.
- Workplace Promotion - Ambassadors can help promote ÃÛÌÒTV opportunities to colleagues and provide a firsthand perspective. You may help start an ERG or Chapter within your place of employment to network with other Night Owls
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
³§±ð°ù±¹¾±²Ô²µÌýas a ÃÛÌÒTV Alumni Ambassador may provide you with various opportunities to advance ÃÛÌÒTV’s mission, depending on your interest, educational path, and professional background. We may ask you to:
- Provide feedback.
- Work with ÃÛÌÒTV's Government Relations team on opportunities to educate state legislators about ÃÛÌÒTV and our goals to support student success.
- Provide testimonials, be interviewed for publication, and participate in media features and informational interviews.
- Be a part of marketing campaigns, including print, social, or other online campaigns.
- Attend or host networking events.
- Represent ÃÛÌÒTV by attending or participating in conferences, trade events, public interviews, press events, and other events.
- Represent ÃÛÌÒTV by posting/sharing ÃÛÌÒTV social media content, answering questions from current and prospective students, tweeting newsworthy items, and just being the ÃÛÌÒTV brand advocate that you probably already are!
Expertise, Experience, and Benefit
This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity for ÃÛÌÒTV alumni that offers members a chance to interact and find fulfillment in helping students with their ÃÛÌÒTV experience and potential students with choosing ÃÛÌÒTV. Members can use this opportunity to update their °ùé²õ³Ü³¾Ã©Ìýwith real-world experience in leadership, marketing, event management, recruiting, sales, public speaking, public relations, and more. We encourage all members to add their roles and experiences to their résumé, LinkedIn profile, or wherever else they see fit.

ÃÛÌÒTV grad Gina Abbey shares her story and how ÃÛÌÒTV created a pathway to opportunity. Gina is a graduate from ÃÛÌÒTV’s B.S. Marketing program, and her husband, Chris, graduated from ÃÛÌÒTV's B.S. IT Management and M.S. Cybersecurity programs.
